What decides the cost of a Nashik–Trimbakeshwar Simhastha 2027 trip—stay category, Amrit Snan dates, travel, darshan and rituals—and how to save.
What does a Simhastha trip to Nashik cost? Kumbh prices are very dynamic—camp rates are set for the season and move with the Amrit Snan calendar, Shravan weekends and availability—so we quote for your exact dates rather than publish fixed prices. Here is what decides your budget.
1. Your stay category
| Category | What you get | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Dormitory & Group Tents | Shared tents, bedding, group meals | Yatra groups |
| Tent Stay | Simple tent with beds | Short, budget trips |
| Deluxe Camp | Cottage, attached bath, meals | Families |
| Monsoon-ready Cottages | Raised, waterproof, covered walkways | Families and seniors in the rains |
| Luxury Camp | Spacious cottage, hot water, snan escort | Comfort seekers |
2. Your dates
The Amrit Snans on 2 August, 31 August and 11–12 September 2027 are the busiest. Shravan Mondays at Trimbakeshwar are also crowded. Ordinary weekdays are easier and cost less.
3. Nashik, Trimbakeshwar or both
Ramkund and Kushavarta are 28 km apart. Visiting both adds a car and waiting time; packages that cover both towns plan this for you.
4. Travel and local transport
Trains from Mumbai to Nashik Road are the most economical. Allow for local transport and a taxi to Trimbak on a non-snan day.
5. Darshan, rituals and side trips
Trimbakeshwar has free darshan and an optional paid donation pass—check the temple's official website for the current fee. Rituals such as Kaal Sarp shanti and Narayan Nagbali vary widely; agree the fee in advance with the purohit. Shirdi, Bhimashankar and Grishneshwar are popular add-ons.
