Tips
- Pre-book your transfer for Simhastha dates. App cabs may be scarce or expensive.
- Agree the drop point. On Shahi Snan days vehicles may not reach your hotel near Mahakal, so ask the driver to drop you at the nearest permitted point.
- Night arrivals: consider one night in Indore and an early drive to Ujjain. See Staying in Indore.
- Heat: travel in the morning or evening if you can, and carry water.
On Shahi Snan days
Traffic will be controlled from the outskirts of Ujjain, with parking zones and shuttles. Allow plenty of extra time, and if possible arrive the day before. See How to reach Ujjain.
Combining with Omkareshwar
If your trip includes Omkareshwar (about 80 km from Indore), plan the loop Indore → Ujjain → Omkareshwar → Indore. See the Ujjain–Omkareshwar itinerary.
Transfers included
All our Ujjain packages include pick-up and drop at Indore airport by private car.
