Where to stay for the Kumbh Mela
On snan days vehicles are stopped far from the river, so walking distance to the ghats matters more than anything else. Luxury and deluxe camps give families and seniors real beds and attached bathrooms inside the mela; tent stays keep costs down for short trips; dormitory and group tents suit yatra groups.
Match the stay to the season, too: insulated, heated tents for Haridwar and Prayagraj in January–February, raised and waterproof cottages for the Nashik monsoon Simhastha, and AC camps for Ujjain in April–May. Prayagraj also has Kalpvas tents for pilgrims staying the month of Magh.
Camp sites are allotted by the mela administration each season, so we never promise a named camp in advance. We confirm the exact camp, location, photos and price in writing before you pay—never send money to an unverified "last cottage" offer.
