Kumbh Mela Tour Packages

Pilgrimage packages for every Kumbh city, each with a stay near the ghats, transfers and a coordinator who walks you to the river on snan day.

Choose your Kumbh

Kumbh prices change with dates, snan days and availability, so every package and stay is priced on request. Share your dates for an exact quote.

How to choose a Kumbh Mela tour package

Start with which Kumbh and which snan day. The Haridwar Kumbh runs from January to April 2027 and the Nashik–Trimbakeshwar Simhastha's Amrit Snans fall in August–September 2027; the Ujjain Simhastha follows in spring 2028 and the Prayagraj Ardh Kumbh around January–March 2031.

Then decide how much time you have. A 2–3 day package covers the snan, the evening aarti and the main temples; 4–6 days lets you add nearby pilgrimages such as Rishikesh, Trimbakeshwar and Shirdi, Omkareshwar, or Varanasi and Ayodhya.

Every KMII package includes a stay chosen for walking access to the ghats, transfers, and a coordinator for snan morning—and every package can be customised for seniors, families or groups.

Choosing by the type of trip

A short, first Kumbh. Every city has a two- or three-day package built around one snan morning: arrive the day before, bathe with a coordinator, see the evening aarti and the main temples, and leave. These are the most popular packages for families and working professionals.

An Amrit or Shahi Snan. If seeing the akhara processions is the reason for your trip, plan around the Amrit Snan dates: 6 March, 8 March and 14 April 2027 in Haridwar, and 2 August, 31 August and 11–12 September 2027 in Nashik–Trimbakeshwar. Ujjain's Shahi Snan dates are still to be notified. These are the most crowded days, so they suit fit adults rather than seniors or young children.

A pilgrimage circuit. Each Kumbh city is close to other great tirthas: Rishikesh from Haridwar; Trimbakeshwar, Shirdi and the Maharashtra Jyotirlingas from Nashik; Omkareshwar from Ujjain; Varanasi and Ayodhya from Prayagraj. Our four- to six-day packages combine the Kumbh with these.

Parents and grandparents. Our Senior Citizen Kumbh Yatra in Haridwar is designed for older travellers, and any package in any city can be slowed down: a quieter snan day, a comfortable camp close to the ghats, a dedicated escort, and wheelchairs where possible.

A month of devotion. At Prayagraj, the Kalpvas Package lets you observe the month of Magh by the Sangam, as kalpvasis have done for centuries.

Why season matters more than you think

Each Kumbh falls in a different season, and that changes what a good package looks like:

  • Haridwar and Prayagraj are winter Kumbhs, with cold, foggy mornings by the river. Heated or well-insulated stays matter.
  • Nashik–Trimbakeshwar is a monsoon Kumbh. Camps with raised floors, waterproof roofs and covered walkways matter.
  • Ujjain is a summer Kumbh, with afternoons above 40 °C. Air-conditioned stays and early-morning darshan matter.

We design every package, and choose every camp, with this in mind.

Why our packages are priced on request

Kumbh prices are among the most dynamic in Indian travel. Camp sites are allotted afresh each season, and rates move with the snan calendar: Amrit Snan nights cost far more than ordinary nights. Rather than show a misleading "from" price, we quote every trip for your exact dates, stay and group, and confirm the camp name, photos, inclusions and final price in writing before you pay anything.

What is included in every KMII package

Whichever Kumbh you choose, every package is built on the same basics:

  • A stay chosen for walking access to the ghats, confirmed with the exact camp, photos and location before you pay.
  • Meals at the camp, freshly cooked and vegetarian.
  • Transfers from the nearest station or airport.
  • A coordinator on snan day, who knows the routes, the diversions and the bathing ghats, and stays with your group.
  • Help with rituals and darshan, from arranging a trusted priest to explaining how to book special darshan.

How booking works

  1. Send us your dates, the Kumbh you want to visit and your group size.
  2. We reply with options, usually within a few hours: the camp, photos, walking distance and an all-inclusive quote.
  3. You confirm in writing, with the camp name, inclusions and cancellation terms, before you pay anything.
  4. Before you travel, your coordinator shares the plan for snan morning and what to pack.

Which Kumbh should you choose?

If you can travel in 2027, Haridwar (January–April) and Nashik–Trimbakeshwar (August–September) are the next Kumbhs. Choose Haridwar for the Ganga, the Himalayan foothills and Rishikesh; choose Nashik for the Godavari, the Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga and the monsoon landscape of the Sahyadris. Ujjain follows in spring 2028, and the Prayagraj Ardh Kumbh in 2031.

Planning ahead

Kumbh camps near the ghats are limited, and the best ones fill months before the Amrit Snans. Enquiring early costs nothing and gives you the widest choice of camps and dates.
