Khusro Bagh
A walled Mughal garden with the sandstone tombs of Prince Khusrau, his mother and his sister.
Khusro Bagh is a large, quiet Mughal garden enclosing three fine seventeenth-century tombs: those of Prince Khusrau (son of Jahangir), his mother Shah Begum, and his sister Nithar Begum. The carved sandstone and painted interiors are among the best Mughal work in the region.
The garden is laid out in the classic Mughal char-bagh pattern, and the tombs show a transition in style from the sober to the ornate. Large shady trees make it one of the calmest places in the city, especially in the early morning when local walkers fill its paths.
