Day trip · Prayagraj
India’s oldest living city: Kashi Vishwanath, the ghats and the Dashashwamedh Ganga Aarti.
Varanasi is the natural extension of a Prayagraj pilgrimage. Visit Kashi Vishwanath through the new corridor, take a sunrise boat along the ghats, and watch the grand Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat in the evening.
Varanasi is also the starting point for Sarnath, where the Buddha gave his first sermon, about 10 km away. Many pilgrims continue from Varanasi to Ayodhya, making Prayagraj, Kashi and Ayodhya a complete Uttar Pradesh yatra over five or six days.
