Haridwar Kumbh Itinerary: 2 and 3 Day Plans

Day-by-day Haridwar Kumbh 2027 itineraries for 2 and 3 days—snan timing, Ganga Aarti, temples, Kankhal and how to fit everything around crowds.

Most pilgrims spend two or three days in Haridwar for the Kumbh. That is enough for the snan, the Ganga Aarti and the city's key temples, as long as you plan around the crowds.

Before you plan

  • Pick your snan day first, then build the trip around it. See all 10 snan dates.
  • Arrive the day before a major snan. Diversions start the previous evening.
  • Stay within walking distance of the ghats if you can.

2-day itinerary (2 nights)

Day 1: Arrive, aarti

  • Afternoon: arrive and check in.
  • Before sunset: walk to Har Ki Pauri about 45–60 minutes before the aarti for a good spot.
  • Evening: Ganga Aarti, float a diya, then an early dinner and early night.

Day 2: Snan and temples

Day 3 (morning): visit Maya Devi on your way out, then depart.

3-day itinerary (3 nights)

Follow the 2-day plan, then add a third day:

Day 3: Kankhal and Bharat Mata Mandir

  • Morning: Daksheswara Mahadev and Sati Kund in Kankhal. See our Kankhal walk.
  • Afternoon: Bharat Mata Mandir and the ashrams along the Rishikesh road.
  • Evening: a second aarti, or satsang at your camp.

Day 4: depart.

On an Amrit Snan day

Swap the order: snan and processions in the morning, then rest. Leave the temples for the next day, because ropeway queues on Amrit Snan days are very long.
