A day-by-day Simhastha 2027 plan covering the Ramkund snan, Panchavati's Ramayana sites, Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga, Kushavarta and Brahmagiri.
Three days is the sweet spot for the Nashik Simhastha. You get a snan, both towns and the key temples, with buffer time for rain and traffic.
Before you plan
- Pick your snan day first. See all Amrit Snan dates.
- Don't plan the Nashik–Trimbak drive on an Amrit Snan day.
- Base yourself in Nashik for this plan, or swap Days 2 and 3 if you stay in Trimbak.
Day 1: Arrive, Godavari aarti
- Arrive at Nashik Road station or Nashik airport and check in.
- Visit Muktidham if you arrive near Nashik Road.
- Evening: Godavari aarti at Ramkund.
Day 2: Ramkund snan and Panchavati
- Early morning: holy dip at Ramkund, or at a designated public ghat on snan days.
- Morning: Kalaram Temple, Sita Gufa and the Panchavati circuit. See the Ramayana trail.
- Afternoon: rest. Monsoon afternoons often bring heavy showers.
- Evening: explore the akhara camps and satsangs in the mela area.
Day 3: Trimbakeshwar
- Early start for the 28 km drive.
- Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga darshan. Consider the paid darshan pass on busy days. See the darshan guide.
- Kushavarta Kund, a short walk away.
- Optional: climb to Gangadwar on Brahmagiri in clear weather.
- Return to Nashik, or depart.
Day 4: Depart
Morning departure, or add Pandavleni Caves before your train.
Variations
- Shiva-focused: spend 2 nights in Trimbak and add a ritual. See Kaal Sarp and Narayan Nagbali.
- Add Shirdi: see the 5-day Nashik + Shirdi plan.
- Jyotirlinga yatra: add Bhimashankar and Grishneshwar. See the Jyotirlinga circuit.
Book it
